Release application from Ali Kaya's lawyers

A new development has occurred in the investigation conducted into Ali Kaya, the brother of Ekrem İmamoğlu's wife, Dilek Kaya İmamoğlu. The results of the drug test performed on Kaya, who was previously arrested on charges of "possession of substances for drug use" and "facilitating drug use," have been delivered to his lawyers, and the test result was negative.

The lawyers representing Kaya announced that they will submit the obtained laboratory report to the case file and file a request for his release with the court.

Ali Kaya was arrested as part of an operation targeting the Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality, and the investigation conducted into him had caused a stir in the public eye. Finally, it was stated that the defense team would take new steps following the negative test result.

Dilek İmamoğlu's other brother, Cevat Kaya, was also detained in April of last year and arrested within the scope of the same investigations. Thus, the names of both brothers were included in the judicial process within the framework of the operations targeting the IMM.
