In the hearing held today, the court, which was evaluating the detention status, adjourned to make its decision after IMM President Ekrem İmamoğlu finished his speech requesting the release of the detainees.
An interim decision has been issued in the case against the IMM, which involves 402 defendants, including the detained IMM President and CHP presidential candidate Ekrem İmamoğlu.
Accordingly, 18 individuals were released. It was reported that a travel ban was imposed on the released individuals and that the decision was made unanimously.

Altan Ertürk
Ebubekir Akın
Hüseyin Yurttaş

Among the released individuals;

Kadriye Kasapoğlu - İmamoğlu's Chief of Staff
Davut Bildik: The person who removed the camera from the presidential residence
Esra Huri Bulduk and Şehide Zehra Keleş: Were detained within the scope of irregularities in the “İstanbul Senin” application.
İMAMOĞLU USED THE FOLLOWING EXPRESSIONS IN HIS RELEASE REQUEST SPEECH BEFORE THE INTERIM DECISION:
"In 3 weeks, we have experienced one by one how the prosecution has deceived the Turkish Nation.
I felt great sadness listening again to the torture people endured through immoral attitudes. My blood ran cold and my chest tightened from what I heard. I felt great sadness listening to the suffering, torture, and unfortunately, the very poor management of a process that these people were subjected to through immoral attitudes and behaviors. If a person does not carry hatred or malice, they have felt this.
What would have happened if this hearing had been broadcast live? The evils would have been exposed one by one. The prosecution would have been disgraced. The nation would have been enlightened and relieved. We would have all experienced together that justice is unfortunately being carried out in a dirty way, and we would have shown it to the nation."
You judges will either continue to deepen a collapse or you will initiate a way out. With the interim decision you will give regarding a slanderous indictment, you will determine the direction of this historic frame-up case. Believe me, this decision of yours will mean a lot. We are on the eve of a very historic day.
İmamoğlu continued his words as follows:
‘Let people stay in jail,’ can it be like this?
People are detained with copy-paste decisions.
Will these friends of mine flee? Will a 43-year-old municipal police officer flee?
Will the mothers of children flee?
I consider even thinking this way an oppression. It is a shame, a sin, and a disgrace.
Does the state set traps? Does the Great Turkish State imprison people through the judiciary?
What is it? There is an order that 2 cousins cannot stay in the same cell, so separate them.
If my blood doesn't run cold, whose blood will?
Is a child taken hostage for a father? Who has ever seen this?
Does the state threaten someone through their spouse? Is a woman, a spouse, not our sacred value?
How will this be? How will this nation find relief?
Does a judge read a verdict in a spy case and then flee?
It is impossible to accept the oppression inflicted on everyone detained here.
Great torture is being inflicted on families. I know those who are being tortured through their disabled children.
Faith in the judiciary has fallen to 15 percent. Our trouble is great.
I never show disrespect, and I do not like those who do. I have lived for my state.
Lawyers who say, ‘Give me 2 million dollars and I will get you released,’ are walking free. Where is this brave prosecution?
Will those who make these decisions not be ashamed?
There is a person who says they were defrauded of 8 million dollars because they were told it would secure their release. Now they are walking around freely.
Mr. President, will you end this course of events or will you continue it?
You know what the rights of the people are at least as well as I do, don't you?
If justice is delayed, it ceases to be justice.
Justice saves everyone, and this is the salvation of the Great Turkish nation.
I am sharing a very precious verse:
O you who have believed, be persistently standing firm for Allah, witnesses in justice, and do not let the hatred of a people prevent you from being just. Be just; that is nearer to righteousness. And fear Allah; indeed, Allah is acquainted with what you do.
Release all the detained friends, I am here.
