Releases from prisons have begun
With the "Law on Amendments to the Law on the Execution of Penal and Security Measures and Certain Other Laws" being published in the repeated issue of the Official Gazette and entering into force, releases from prisons have begun.
Following the start of releases at the Sincan Penal Execution Institutions Campus, relatives of inmates gathered in front of the prison.
Speaking after his son was released with 3 months remaining on his sentence, inmate relative Şener Dinler expressed his happiness at being able to spend the holiday together.
Ümit Aytekin, who was released by benefiting from the law with 75 days left until the end of his sentence, said, "I sincerely celebrate the holiday of all inmate relatives, inmates, their spouses, and their children.
May God help those who were instrumental in this, and may God be pleased with them," he said.
