The rainfall that has been effective in recent days has provided a lifeline for Istanbul. For the first time in months, the total occupancy rate of the 10 dams has exceeded 70 percent, reaching 71.38 percent. The highest occupancy rate was measured at the Elmalı Dam at 90.12 percent, while the lowest was measured at the Pabuçdere Dam at 38.08 percent.

The occupancy rate in Istanbul's dams has shown an increase with the recent rains. Following the lack of sufficient precipitation during the past winter season, dam occupancy rates have become one of the topics most closely followed by citizens. While the water level in the Pabuçdere Dam, which has the lowest water level, was measured at 38.08 percent, the highest water level was measured at the Elmalı Dam at 90.12 percent. The total occupancy rate in the megacity's dams was measured at 71.38 percent on Friday, February 2, 2024.

Darlık Dam: 87.04%

Elmalı Dam: 90.12%

Terkos Dam: 62.3%

Alibey Dam: 77.29%

Büyükçekmece Dam: 68.13%

Istrancalar Dam: 82.19%

Kazandere Dam: 63.69%

Pabuçdere Dam: 38.08%
