Remarkable post from AKP MKYK member Miroğlu regarding Ferdi Zeyrek and Özgür Özel

Manisa Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Ferdi Zeyrek, who was electrocuted, has lost his battle for life in intensive care. The people of Manisa flocked to the funeral ceremony held for Zeyrek.

Zeyrek's death has plunged not only Manisa but all of Turkey into mourning.

Republican People's Party (CHP) Chairman Özgür Özel laid his companion Zeyrek to rest with his own hands.

AKP MKYK member and former deputy Orhan Miroğlu, shared a photo of Özel taken at the funeral on his X account.

Praising CHP leader Özel, Miroğlu also stated the following about Zeyrek: "Dear Mayor Ferdi Zeyrek opened an infinite space in his short life for the stories that make us who we are, and he practically rewrote those stories. Oh, if only he could have lived to be 80 as he desired! Goodbye my brother, I would have loved to know you and be inspired by you." he said.

The full text of Miroğlu's post is as follows:

"There is so much this passing reminds us of regarding humanity, each more valuable than the last! A father, a lover, a husband, he bid farewell to life leaving behind a life story that will always be cherished and remain eternal. A people bid him farewell as if he were one of their own family, one of their own blood and soul.

And a party leader showed that politics is temporary, but friendship and love do not end at the office, but go to the grave. Dear Mayor Ferdi Zeyrek opened an infinite space in his short life for the stories that make us who we are, and he practically rewrote those stories. Oh, if only he could have lived to be 80 as he desired! Goodbye my brother, I would have loved to know you and be inspired by you; may your place be heaven, may you rest in peace!"
