Prof. Dr. Övgün Ahmet Ercan, who made a statement regarding the earthquake swarm in the Sındırgı district of Balıkesir, stated, "The aftershocks in Sındırgı have gone wild. The progression is normal. However, it is surprising that they have not yet subsided."
Following the 4.5-magnitude earthquake that occurred in Sındırgı, Balıkesir, at 18:11 yesterday, a series of aftershocks were recorded in the region.
Approximately 100 aftershocks occurred in the district until the morning hours.
While the activity in the region has caused anxiety among citizens, Prof. Dr. Övgün Ahmet Ercan made a remarkable statement regarding the aftershocks.
