Remarkable statement from famous pollster on Mansur Yavaş! 'He cannot be made the CHP's presidential candidate'

The Republican People's Party's (CHP) decision to determine its presidential candidate through a primary election has sparked a new debate on the political agenda.

The differing statements regarding candidate selection and the primary election made by Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Ekrem İmamoğlu and Ankara Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Mansur Yavaş, both of whom are prominent figures for the candidacy, have drawn attention.

While İmamoğlu supports the primary election, Yavaş states that it is too early to determine a candidate and that Turkey's real agenda is the economic crisis.

Closing the doors to the candidacy debate at a press conference he held yesterday, Yavaş said, "They have been debating who the candidate will be for 5 years. I think they are debating it on purpose now. Our priority is the economy, and if you want to change the government, the first thing to do is to take care of these poor people, that is the way to change the government."

At the end of the meeting, when asked by a journalist, "It is also said that the CHP aims to announce a candidate to put an end to the debate. What do you think about these issues?", Yavaş replied, "We will stand by our retirees and minimum wage earners until the end."

Following these developments, Özer Sencar, the founder of Metropoll Research, made a striking post on his social media account.

 "Someone needs to say what needs to be said", Sencar said, adding the expression, "Mr. Mansur cannot be made the CHP's presidential candidate."

Posting on his X account, Sencar stated, "Someone needs to say what needs to be said. The CHP is obliged to be honest with itself, its voters, its founding fathers and its history, as well as with Mr. Mansur. Mr. Mansur cannot be made the CHP's presidential candidate. This would mean self-denial. This game should not be continued any longer."

Sencar also made the assessment that, "Mayoral office is a strategic choice. The presidency, however, is a regime choice."
