Rent and inflation reaction to Mehmet Şimşek from a People's Alliance partner! 'Okay, but you did it!'
Great Unity Party leader Mustafa Destici, who criticized the rent increase rate, reacted to Treasury and Finance Minister Mehmet Şimşek.
Great Unity Party (BBP) Chairman Mustafa Destici, one of the partners of the People's Alliance, made statements regarding the agenda at a press conference he held.
Drawing attention to high inflation and rent increases, Destici reacted to Treasury and Finance Minister Mehmet Şimşek.
Destici said, "They say the law is like this, the regulation is like this. I was listening yesterday, our Minister of Finance says 'One of the most important reasons triggering inflation and the cost of living is rent.' Okay, but you determined the rent by law at 58 percent, at 62 percent. You determined it, I didn't determine it," he stated.
Destici said, "What should be said there? You could say that rent is increased according to the lowest inflation rate, and you would solve the issue with one sentence."
After the lowest pension was announced as 14 thousand 469 liras, Destici also stated on his social media account, "We never consider this sufficient. The injustice that has been ongoing since July 2023 must be resolved, and as we have expressed before, the lowest pension should be increased to over 20 thousand liras."
