On February 13, 9 workers were left under the rubble as a result of a landslide at the mining site operated by Anagold Madencilik Sanayi ve Ticaret A.Ş. in the İliç district of Erzincan.
While search and rescue efforts for the workers continue, 8 people who were taken into custody have been referred to the courthouse.
According to reports from Sözcü TV, it has been learned that the prosecutor's office has requested the arrest of 2 individuals.
It was stated that one of the individuals for whom an arrest was requested is a Canadian national.
