Search and rescue operations are underway for 9 workers who remain trapped under soil at a mining site in the İliç district of Erzincan.
A landslide occurred yesterday at a mining site located in the İliç district of Erzincan. Approximately 10 million cubic meters of soil spread over an 800-meter area.
9 workers who were on the site at the time of the landslide remain trapped under the soil.
Upon notification of the situation, a large number of search and rescue teams were dispatched to the scene.
Efforts to reach the 9 workers trapped under the soil are continuing without interruption. Search and rescue teams are continuing their work as the day progresses, just as they did during the daylight hours.
