Resigned 4 days after being appointed as women's branch chair: 'Framework Law' reaction in CHP

Explaining the reasons behind her resignation decision, Özşahin emphasized that the unitary structure of the state is a "red line" for her.

Stating that she cannot accept the CHP voting "yes" to the legislative proposal in question in Parliament, Özşahin leveled harsh criticism against her party's stance.

"Politics cannot be done against the nation"

Expressing that it is no longer possible for her to continue politics under the CHP umbrella at this point, Özşahin included the following statements in her resignation announcement:

"I have no chance to engage in politics in a CHP that votes yes to the framework law.

Politics cannot be done against the nation. For this reason, I am resigning from the Çorum Provincial Women's Branch Chairmanship."

This sudden resignation decision, taken by Özşahin not even a week after her appointment, was recorded as a surprise development within the CHP's Çorum organization.
