Restaurant fire in Şişli: Flames engulf three buildings
A fire that broke out in a restaurant in the Şişli district of Istanbul in the morning hours spread rapidly through a ventilation shaft to two other buildings. While residents were evacuated, many people were affected by smoke. The fire was brought under control after about an hour of work by the fire department.
The fire occurred around 06:00 on Halaskargazi Street in Şişli. According to the information obtained, the fire that started in the restaurant spread rapidly and jumped to two adjacent buildings. It was learned that the fire spread through a common apartment shaft shared by the three buildings. Upon notification, numerous fire, police, and medical teams were dispatched to the scene.

While the buildings were evacuated due to the fire, many residents were slightly affected by smoke. The evacuated residents watched the fire from across the street.

The fire was extinguished after about 1 hour of intervention by fire crews. Authorities have launched an investigation into the cause of the fire.
