Restaurant's suspended ceiling collapses, 11 people injured
11 people were injured after the suspended ceiling of a branch of a famous restaurant chain in Afyonkarahisar collapsed.
The incident occurred at the entrance of the Akören town on the Afyonkarahisar-Izmir highway.
According to the information obtained, the suspended ceiling of the restaurant known as Köfteci Yusuf, which has numerous branches across Turkey, collapsed for an unknown reason.
During the collapse, which took place while customers were inside, some customers were trapped under pieces of the ceiling. Following the incident, upon notification by those nearby, gendarmerie, 112 emergency services, and fire department teams were dispatched to the area.

RESTAURANT COMPLETELY CLOSED
The teams arriving at the scene quickly transported the injured to the hospital.
In the incident, which turned into a scene of chaos, 11 people were injured, 7 of them slightly.

Following the incident, the branch of the restaurant chain was completely closed. While gendarmerie teams continue their investigations at the scene, fire department teams also conducted a detailed study regarding how the ceiling collapsed.

Photographs taken from the scene revealed the scale of the terror experienced.
