Results of SONAR's March 31 election poll announced: That name is ahead in the IMM race

SONAR Research shared its latest election poll results during a live broadcast. Company founder Hakan Bayrakçı pointed out that Tanju Özcan receives votes from all segments in Bolu, while also announcing the name currently leading in the Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality (IMM) mayoral race.

Results of SONAR's March 31 election poll announced: That name is ahead in the IMM race

Bayrakçı announced the poll results regarding vote shares on the CNN Türk program "Tarafsız Bölge" with Ahmet Hakan.

Hakan Bayrakçı stated the following: There is somewhat of a record in Erzurum. The incumbent mayor will be re-elected with a record rate of around 70 percent. The IYI Party will come in 2nd with a rate of around 8.8.

The CHP will have a vote share of 8.6 in Erzurum. The rise or fall of votes compared to the previous election reflects the personal success of the mayors. Voters also use local elections to punish the government's economic policies. There is no such reflection here. The Victory Party (Zafer Partisi) has settled into 5th or 6th place in many locations.

Here are Bayrakçı's statements:

AYDIN

In Aydın, Çerçioğlu is ahead with a rate of around 50.9 percent. Here, the DEM Party has a vote share of around 6.6. In Aydın, a portion of DEM and IYI Party voters are casting their ballots for Çerçioğlu. Çerçioğlu does not govern Aydın with the radical left. Many of those who vote for her are nationalist.

SAMSUN

There is an AK Party lead in Samsun. But what is interesting is that the IYI Party's vote share appears to be around 21.1 percent. This is a poll conducted with 3,830 people across 17 districts.

KOCAELI

In Kocaeli, AK Party candidate Tahir Büyükakın has 54.9 percent, while the CHP with Atasoy Bilgin has 29.6 percent. Again, it is worth reminding that the personal success of the mayors carries great importance here. Tahir Bey does not even come from a political background; he is an academic. There is a favor for him in the Metropolitan Municipality.

BOLU

I included Bolu among the metropolitan cities because the CHP is at 23 percent here. Tanju Özcan is at 56.2 percent. Bolu is a nationalist and conservative city. Tanju Özcan receives votes from every segment. Victory Party voters may have likely supported him. IYI Party voters also likely prefer Tanju Özcan. We asked questions for mayors who have such power in the city at 7.8. Tanju Özcan wins the election regardless of the party.

MANISA

In Manisa, MHP candidate Cengiz Ergün is at 48.2 percent. Manisa is one of the cities where nationalist votes are strongest. The IYI Party is the 3rd party in 6 provinces. This is a noteworthy situation. In terms of total votes in Turkey, the IYI Party will come in 3rd place after the AK Party and the CHP.

MUGLA

Muğla was not a neck-and-neck province, but despite that, I was very surprised that the votes came out neck-and-neck. CHP's Ahmet Aras is at 38.9, AK Party's Aydın Ayaydın is at 36.1; if you notice, the IYI Party is the 3rd party in most places with its new stance.

CURRENT STATUS IN POLLS FOR CRITICAL ISTANBUL DISTRICTS

BAGCILAR

There is a significant gap in Bağcılar. Abdullah Özdemir appears to have a vote share of 61.1 percent. I will underline again that the IYI Party appears as the 3rd party here as well. This is not a place where Kılıçdaroğlu and Erdoğan were neck-and-neck anyway, but there is still an increase in votes here.

USKUDAR

In Üsküdar, AK Party's Hilmi Türkmen is at 50.4 percent, and CHP candidate Sinem Dedetaş is at 40.1 percent. This is also one of the critical districts. Hilmi Bey has a personal success here. I do not think the gap will fall below 8 points.

TUZLA

There is a big surprise in Tuzla as well. AK Party's Şadi Yazıcı is at 48.5 percent, and CHP's Eren Ali Bingöl is at 36.8 percent.

BAHCELIEVLER

In Bahçelievler, AK Party's Hakan Bahadır is at 55.3 percent, while the CHP is at 30.2 percent. The National Path Party (Milli Yol Partisi) is also one of the parties that received over 1 percent here. 7.5 points of the CHP's votes here have gone to the IYI Party. This means the Victory Party gave their votes to Kılıçdaroğlu in that election. According to this rate, Hakan Bahadır has also received votes from a segment of people who voted for Kemal Bey.

PENDIK

In Pendik, AK Party candidate Ahmet Cin is at 56.3 percent, and CHP candidate Süleyman Tarık Balyalı is at 32.9 percent. There is no such gap in the presidential election. Pendik generally produces results close to Turkey's overall results. The gap is quite large. If you recall when looking at these tables, I had criticized the CHP in some way before.

The "come if you are coming" mode applied to the IYI Party in these districts was not right from the very beginning. This has been revealed once again with these rates. An interesting picture seems to be emerging in Sarıyer as well, but that is not ready yet. The CHP candidate there ran as an independent. If the AK Party and the CHP are neck-and-neck, the CHP voter will question it by looking at the polls.

CEKMEKOY

In Çekmeköy, AK Party's Ahmet Poyraz is at 46.1 percent, CHP's Orhan Çerkez is at 35.2 percent, and the IYI Party is at 7.5 percent.

KAGITHANE

In Kağıthane, AK Party's Mevlüt Öztekin is at 55.5 percent, the CHP's Tonguç Çoban is at 25.6 percent, and the DEM Party is at 6.7 percent. An incredible transformation has taken place in Kağıthane. Mevlüt Öztekin has personal performance and success here.

WHAT IS THE CURRENT STATUS IN ISTANBUL METROPOLITAN MUNICIPALITY?

The gap is currently fluctuating between 2.5 and 3. It is a neck-and-neck situation.

At the moment, İmamoğlu appears to be ahead of Murat Kurum, albeit by a small margin.

I will announce the full result in 2 or 3 days. There is, of course, a 1.9 margin of error in the polls.
