Retirees' holiday bonus has been determined... Ministry announces

The Ministry of Labor and Social Security stated that the retiree holiday bonuses have been increased to 4,000 TL. It was announced that a 1,000 TL raise was applied to the bonus in 2025. In the announcement published by the Ministry, it was noted that a 33.3 percent raise was applied to the retiree holiday bonus. The Ministry stated that retirees will receive a total of 8,000 TL in bonus payments for the Ramadan and Eid al-Adha holidays.

The retirees' holiday bonus was set at 3,000 TL in 2024. An increase in holiday bonuses was expected at the Cabinet Meeting chaired by President and AKP Chairman Recep Tayyip Erdoğan. The holiday bonus, which is currently 3,000 TL, was expected to be increased by 33 percent to 4,000 TL.

WHEN WILL RETIREE HOLIDAY BONUSES BE PAID?

Retirees have been receiving bonus payments every year during the Ramadan and Eid al-Adha holidays. This year, the bonuses are also expected to be paid in March and June. Following the decision to be taken at the Cabinet Meeting, the regulation is expected to be sent to the Speaker of the Parliament.

Those who become eligible for retirement as of March 1 will also be able to benefit from these bonuses. A total of approximately 16 million retirees are expected to benefit from the regulation in question.

In addition to retiree bonuses, economic issues will also be addressed at the Cabinet Meeting. Important topics such as combating exorbitant price increases during the month of Ramadan and the course of inflation will be discussed.

Furthermore, the draft of the 10th judicial package prepared by the Ministry of Justice is also expected to be evaluated at the meeting. This package includes new regulations for the judicial system.
