Reuters reports: Israel to terminate free trade agreement with Turkey

The Ministry of Trade announced on April 9, 2024, that it had terminated commercial relations with Israel due to the ongoing attacks on Gaza since October 7.

As reported by T24 citing Reuters; Israel will terminate its free trade agreement with Turkey and impose a 100 percent customs duty on all other remaining imports.

Israeli Finance Minister Bezalel Smotrich announced that, in retaliation for Turkey's decision to halt trade with Israel, Tel Aviv would terminate the free trade agreement with Ankara and impose a 100 percent customs duty on other imports from Turkey.

The plan will be submitted to the cabinet for approval.
