Revision to the reward schedule for terrorists!

The Ministry of Interior has changed the reward amount for those who help locate terrorists in the 'Red, Orange, Yellow, and Gray' categories. It has also reduced the number of color categories from 5 to 4.

According to the updated list, the red list, which was previously 10 million lira, has been increased to 20 million.

REWARD SCHEDULE CHANGED FOR TERRORIST CATEGORIES

The 3 million lira blue list has been canceled, and terrorists wanted in this category have been moved to the orange list, which was previously 1 million lira and has been increased to 8 million according to the new update.

The 2 million lira green list has also been canceled, and terrorists wanted in this category have been included in the newly created Yellow category, which has a reward of 4 million lira.

The reward amount for terrorists wanted in the 500 thousand lira gray category has been increased to 2 million.

ANNOUNCED BY THE MINISTRY OF INTERIOR

According to the news on the Ministry of Interior's website, the following was stated:

"Within the scope of the Reward Regulation published in the Official Gazette dated 05.11.2019 and numbered 30939, the provision of rewards of up to 20 million (twenty million) TL to those who help capture high-level terrorist organization members and the searching for organization members in 4 separate color categories instead of 5 has entered into force with the ministerial approval dated 11.09.2024.

REWARD AMOUNTS IN 4 CATEGORIES

In this context; up to 20 million (twenty million) TL for organization members wanted in the Red color category,

Up to 8 million (eight million) TL for organization members wanted in the Orange color category,

Up to 4 million (four million) TL for organization members wanted in the Yellow color category,

Up to 2 million (two million) TL for organization members wanted in the Gray color category can be awarded."

CONDITIONS FOR RECEIVING A CASH REWARD

On the other hand, for a cash reward to be given, the crime must fall within the scope of Law No. 3713, the information provided must be of a nature that helps uncover the crime, seize evidence, or capture the perpetrators of the crime, the person to be rewarded must not have participated in the commission of the crime, and must not be law enforcement, military personnel, public personnel assigned to counter-terrorism, or individuals whose information is utilized for intelligence purposes on a temporary or permanent basis, excluding security guards and volunteer security guards.

For the information provided to be evaluated for a reward, it is required that it has not been previously obtained by intelligence and law enforcement officers tasked with counter-terrorism or other personnel assigned for this purpose.

Rewards are not given based on information provided in the capacity of a witness.

There is no requirement for the person to be rewarded to be a Turkish citizen.
