Rezan Epözdemir breaks his silence with a social media post: 'I will share all the facts'

Detained lawyer Rezan Epözdemir has broken his silence with a post on his social media account. Stating that he had complied with his family's requests not to make any posts, Epözdemir said, "I will present all the information, documents, and records as soon as possible and share all the facts with you. Thank you for your support and prayers." 

Lawyer Rezan Epözdemir, who was detained on August 10 as part of two separate investigations launched by the Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office, was arrested on August 14 on charges of "mediating bribery." Epözdemir explained why he had remained silent regarding his detention until now in a statement on his social media account. 

In his statement on his social media account, Epözdemir used the following expressions:

"My dear friends; many of our colleagues, fellow professionals, and members of the press are asking if I will make a statement. Actually, there is a lot I want to say, but my lawyers and my dear family elders requested that I not make a statement at this stage. I did not want to disappoint them, so I have not made a statement until now. I will present all the information, documents, and records as soon as possible and share all the facts with you.
