Rezan Epözdemir investigation expands: Bank accounts seized

Rezan Epözdemir, known as the lawyer for numerous high-profile cases in the public eye, is being held in custody as part of two separate investigations conducted by the Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office. The investigations are being carried out in connection with accusations of "aiding FETÖ/PDY," "bribery," and "political and military espionage" against Epözdemir.

SEARCH CONDUCTED AT LAW FIRM

Yesterday morning, a comprehensive search was carried out at Epözdemir's law firm in Levent by teams from the Counter-Terrorism and Financial Crimes Investigation branches. The purpose of the search was to collect evidence as part of the investigation.

REVEALED BY MASAK REPORT

During the investigation process, a report prepared by MASAK revealed that some suspects held safety deposit boxes at banks. Following this finding, the prosecutor's office decided to seize the aforementioned boxes.

NEW DETENTIONS

Detention warrants were issued for some individuals working at Epözdemir's office. Among those detained is the clerk of former Public Prosecutor Cengiz Çallı, who previously made headlines with the "macaron file." It was also learned that Epözdemir's police bodyguards will provide testimony as witnesses as part of the investigation.
