Fire department teams were dispatched after cracking sounds were heard from a building on Issıkgöl Street in Gebze.

While the building was being evacuated, teams took extensive security measures in the surrounding area. AFAD teams were sent to the building.

GOVERNOR AKTAŞ: THE BUILDING HAS BEEN EVACUATED

Kocaeli Governor İlhami Aktaş stated in his announcement that the 6-story building, which was at risk of collapse, had been evacuated.

Stating that there was a crack in the building's load-bearing column, Aktaş announced that a total of 21 apartments in 3 buildings had been evacuated.
