Roads closed for May 1st measures in Taksim begin to reopen
Roads around Taksim and Istiklal Avenue in Beyoğlu, which were closed as part of the measures taken by the Istanbul Governor's Office for May 1st Labor and Solidarity Day, began to reopen to vehicle and pedestrian traffic in the evening hours.
As part of the decisions taken by the Istanbul Governor's Office for May 1st Labor and Solidarity Day, roads around Taksim and Istiklal Avenue in Beyoğlu had been closed by police teams with barriers as a precautionary measure.

Streets and avenues were closed starting from the morning hours under intense security measures. With the activity related to May 1st subsiding in the evening, the streets and avenues began to be opened to vehicle and pedestrian traffic in a gradual manner.
