Rojin Kabaiş (21), a first-year student in the Preschool Teaching department at the Van YYÜ Faculty of Education, had arrived in Van from Diyarbakır after enrolling at the university and moved into her dormitory on September 25. The tragic news came 18 days after she went missing. It was revealed that her body was found today by Mehmet Emin Ankay, who had gone to visit his gardener friend in the Mallakasım neighborhood, after her headscarf had been discovered on the shore of Lake Van on the 13th day of the search.

Ankay stated that around 14:10, while his gardener friend was watering the garden, he noticed a dark shape on the shore of Lake Van.
