RTÜK imposes maximum fines on 13 channels over TUSAŞ coverage
The Radio and Television Supreme Council (RTÜK) has imposed maximum administrative fines on TV 8, Kanal D, NOW, Beyaz TV, Show TV, ATV, Star TV, Akit TV, tv100, Kanal 3, Meltem TV, NTV, Tele1, CNN Türk, TGRT Haber, SZC, Halk TV, and Flash Haber for failing to comply with daytime programming regulations and the broadcast ban following the terrorist attack on TUSAŞ.
The Radio and Television Supreme Council (RTÜK) has imposed maximum administrative fines on a large number of television channels for failing to comply with regulations regarding daytime programs and the broadcast ban following the terrorist attack on TUSAŞ.
According to the statement released by RTÜK, the Supreme Council held its weekly regular meeting and decided to impose maximum sanctions on TV 8, Kanal D, NOW, Beyaz TV, Show TV, ATV, and Star TV for their daytime programming.
Maximum administrative fines were also issued to Akit TV, Beyaz TV, tv100, Kanal 3, Meltem TV, NTV, Show TV, Tele1, CNN Türk, TGRT Haber, SZC, Halk TV, and Flash Haber for failing to adhere to the broadcast ban issued by the relevant court following the terrorist attack on TUSAŞ.
Furthermore, maximum sanctions were applied to Halk TV, NOW, Bursada Bugün, Tele1, SZC, and Flash Haber due to violations in their news programs.
Berat TV and Kanal Ege were fined for broadcasts marketing unauthorized herbal food supplements.
The statement also emphasized that concrete steps will be taken regarding the harm caused by television series to the family structure.
