RTÜK issues license warning for Fatih Altaylı's YouTube channel
RTÜK has initiated a legal warning process, stating that a license application must be submitted for Fatih Altaylı's YouTube channel.
Radio and Television Supreme Council (RTÜK) Chairman Ebubekir Şahin has responded to public commentary regarding the detention of Fatih Altaylı.
In a statement made via social media, Şahin noted that, in accordance with the decision taken at the RTÜK meeting on March 27, 2025, a license application must be submitted for the YouTube channel through which Altaylı conducts unauthorized internet broadcasts.
Şahin emphasized that this process is a standard administrative procedure that has been applied in similar situations previously.
He stated that the process of announcing the decision involves the completion of signatures by Supreme Council members, transfer through the Electronic Document Management System (EBYS), and internal approval stages, and that it is unrelated to judicial developments.
It was noted that all details of this process are included in RTÜK's announcement dated June 23, 2025.
