RTÜK member Taşçı from CHP files petition to RTÜK regarding Müge Anlı: 'She said, I would kill her too'
İlhan Taşçı, a CHP member of the Radio and Television Supreme Council (RTÜK), criticized comments made by host Müge Anlı on her recent program. He stated that he would file a petition with the RTÜK Presidency.
Radio and Television Supreme Council (RTÜK) member from the Republican People's Party (CHP), İlhan Taşçı, deemed the statement "I would kill that woman," made by Müge Anlı on her program, unacceptable.
RTÜK's CHP member İlhan Taşçı stated that the remarks used by host Müge Anlı during an ATV live broadcast constitute incitement to crime.
Addressing Müge Anlı's comment about a woman, "I would kill that woman," Taşçı said, "In our country, where murders are rampant, she says 'I would kill her too.' This is not only unacceptable but also a clear violation of broadcasting principles. I will file a petition with the RTÜK Presidency to have the matter reported and added to the board's agenda," he said.
In the broadcast in question, while making evaluations regarding a controversial topic, Müge Anlı uses the following expressions regarding another woman a man brought into his home: "This situation affects me deeply. I am very worried about this issue and I hope this incident is resolved in some way."
