RTÜK President Şahin announces: Investigation launched into the production 'Sausage Party: Foodtopia'
Ebubekir Şahin, President of the Radio and Television Supreme Council (RTÜK), has announced that a legal investigation has been launched into the animated production "Sausage Party: Foodtopia," which is featured in the Turkey catalog of the international broadcaster Prime Video.
An investigation has been launched into the animated production "Sausage Party: Foodtopia" available on Amazon Prime.
While the Amazon-produced animation carries an 18+ warning, RTÜK President Şahin stated the following in a post on his social media account:
"A deviant hegemony with a clear source and purpose, which targets our beliefs and cultural values that make us who we are and keep our society strong and standing firm, is targeting our youth, who are the future of our country, through media. The production, which appears to be an animation titled 'Sausage Party: Foodtopia' in the Turkey catalog of the international broadcaster 'Prime Video,' is drawing the reaction of our public with its deviant content. Our Supreme Council monitoring experts have conducted the necessary examinations, the required warnings have been conveyed to the broadcasting platform in the strongest possible terms, and a legal investigation has been initiated regarding the relevant deviant content. The monitoring report in question will be brought to the agenda at the first Supreme Council meeting."
