Rûdaw website hacked
The news website of the Rûdaw media group, known for its proximity to Kurdistan Democratic Party (KDP) leader Masoud Barzani, was hacked. The site returned to normal after the situation, which lasted about half an hour.
The news website of the Erbil-based Rûdaw media group, http://rudaw.net, was hacked. Those who opened the site's page were met with an image of a jet aircraft, and the following note left by the hackers was seen on the page:
"Do not say it is an endless road, there is no road that has not been finished. Do not say it is an impassable mountain, there is no mountain that has not been crossed. You write scripts, we write history. PKK supporter rudaw hacked..."
Visitors to the site encountered this note for about half an hour. The site was then restored.
