MHP Chairman Devlet Bahçeli made statements to tv100 Editor-in-Chief Deniz Gürel and the channel's presenter Başak Şengül.

"When the DEM Party delegation visited us in Parliament on December 12, 2025, they presented us with a rug that the founding leader Abdullah Öcalan had specially woven in Şanlıurfa.

I thank him for his sincerity regarding the unity and brotherhood of Turks and Kurds.

I welcomed this with pleasure and told the delegation that visited us; 'In our culture, every rug has a name, and I am naming this rug the February 27, 2025 Peace and Democracy Rug.'"
