Stating that the relations between the two countries rose upon solid foundations laid during the National Struggle period, the Ambassador noted that he aims to carry these bonds even further throughout his tenure. Vershinin concluded his message with these words:

"I will make every effort to further strengthen the bonds of friendship between Russia and Turkey, which were founded during the years of the National Struggle by the Turkish people under the leadership of Mustafa Kemal and have successfully overcome trials. I greet the friendly Turkish people and offer my wishes for well-being and prosperity."
