A sad day for former CHP MP Engin Altay
Kazım Altay, the father of Engin Altay, who served as a CHP MP for a period, has passed away in Sinop.
Engin Altay, who served as an MP for the CHP between 2002 and 2015, has been shaken by the loss of his father.
Altay’s father, Kazım Altay, passed away in Sinop.
Altay’s father will be laid to rest in Erfelek, Sinop tomorrow at noon.
The following statement was issued by the CHP Sinop Provincial Presidency:
"We have lost our esteemed party elder Kazım Altay, the father of our former Group Deputy Chairman and current Istanbul MP, Mr. Engin Altay, who served as our Sinop MP between 2002 and 2015.
The funeral of our esteemed elder Kazım Altay will be held on Sunday, 14/01/2024, following the noon prayer in Erfelek. We wish God's mercy upon our uncle Kazım; we extend our condolences and patience to the Altay family and their loved ones."
