Sad news for three foundations: Protocols signed under CHP municipality terminated
The May council meeting of Çekmeköy Municipality was held under the chairmanship of Deputy Council Speaker Bora Kılıç. During the meeting, protocols previously signed with TÜGVA and the Ensar Foundation were terminated.
Following the March 31 Local Administration General Elections in Istanbul, the May council meeting of Çekmeköy Municipality, which passed from the AKP to the CHP, was held under the chairmanship of Deputy Council Speaker Bora Kılıç. During the meeting, protocols previously signed with TÜGVA and the Ensar Foundation were terminated. Additionally, the protocol made with the Turkish Green Crescent Society was also cancelled.
As it is planned for activities related to culture and arts, tourism and promotion, youth and sports, social services and aid, and vocational and skills training to be conducted within the structure of the Çekmeköy Mayor's Office, and for other similar projects to be carried out within the municipality, the authority to terminate these protocols was delegated to Çekmeköy Mayor Orhan Çerkez.
It was stated that after evaluating the work carried out with these associations and foundations, Çerkez will consider the benefits of the work and operations to the public and carry out the necessary procedures.
