The Ministry of National Defense (MSB) announced that Infantry Specialist Corporal Berat Mecit Day, who was seriously wounded in an attack by members of the terrorist organization on April 22 in the Operation Claw-Lock region, has been martyred at the hospital where he was receiving treatment.
The following statement was made by the MSB:
"Our heroic comrade-in-arms, Infantry Specialist Corporal Berat Mecit Day, who was seriously wounded as a result of an attack by members of the terrorist organization on April 22 in the Operation Claw-Lock region, could not be saved despite all interventions at the Işıklı Field Hospital and was martyred on April 23. We wish God's mercy upon our dear martyr who lost his life in this incident that has plunged us into deep pain and sorrow, and we extend our condolences and patience to his grieving family, the Turkish Armed Forces, and our noble nation."
