Sad news from soldier injured in military vehicle accident
One of the 3 soldiers injured in an accident involving a military vehicle in Edirne has passed away at the hospital where they were receiving treatment.
A military vehicle carrying soldiers serving at the 54th Mechanized Infantry Brigade Command in Süloğlu, Edirne, lost control and overturned near the village of Yağcılı in Süloğlu. Three military personnel were trapped in the vehicle, which slid into a field on the side of the road.
Upon notification, gendarmerie, medical, police, and fire department teams were dispatched to the scene.
The soldiers, who were rescued from the vehicle by fire department teams, were taken to Edirne Sultan 1st Murat State Hospital and Trakya University Faculty of Medicine Hospital by ambulance after receiving initial intervention at the scene.
PASSED AWAY AT THE HOSPITAL
One of the injured, Specialist Sergeant Ramazan Merzifonluoğlu, could not be saved despite all interventions at Edirne Sultan 1st Murat State Hospital and has passed away.
