Sadettin Tantan criticizes 'new curriculum' through the lens of social security

Viewing the approval of the new curriculum despite numerous objections as a danger to social security, Tantan outlined the steps that a Turkey wishing to take its place in the new world order must take.

Emphasizing the significant role education plays in this regard, Tantan issued the following warning on his social media account:

"The approval of the National Education Curriculum despite significant objections is a situation that endangers social security. It is a fantasy for Turkey to achieve prosperity in the New World Order with an education system that is increasingly distancing itself from scientific principles. When the curriculum change is examined from the perspective of security theories—specifically social security, state security, and individual security—it must be addressed and evaluated under the heading of individual and societal security. The education system must be placed at the center when building a security architecture. Because, the fact that the new generation is less equipped than the previous one is one of the greatest factors threatening the security of society.

When we categorize states and formations in the current world order as superpowers, great powers, regional powers, and institutional powers, Turkey is a regional power and, as a NATO member, a member of an institutional power.

However, in the 'New World Order,' individuals, companies, and sectors will also be quite important. Considering this, individual equipment and possession of knowledge will be the key elements of power. Depriving generations, who will be raised exempt from basic sciences, of equipment and knowledge is the greatest security threat to our country.

The Minister of National Education has approved the new curriculum despite all the objections of our nation. It will be quite difficult to remedy the destruction this approval will cause in the next 10 years. For this reason, the 'National Education Issue' must be kept on the agenda and addressed within the framework of security architecture; efforts must be made and public opinion must be formed to ensure that a contemporary system and qualified educators adapted to that system are brought into service. All political parties must focus on this issue, carry out the necessary work, and form public opinion."
