Salih Muslim has died

Muslim died in a hospital in Erbil, Iraq, where he was receiving treatment.

It was learned that the 75-year-old Muslim, who had been in the hospital for some time, saw his condition worsen in the evening hours and could not be saved despite medical interventions.

We wish mercy upon Salih Muslim, who dedicated his life to his people's struggle for freedom and never hesitated for a moment to walk at the forefront of this path, and we extend our condolences to his family and our people.

The legacy of resistance left by Salih Muslim will be a compass for everyone whose heart beats for the freedom of their people. Muslim will live forever in the memory of the peoples, especially the Kurdish people, as a martyr of freedom and democracy."

WHO IS SALIH MUSLIM?

Salih Muslim, who was among the so-called top-level leaders of the YPG/PYD, the Syrian branch of the terrorist organization PKK, served as a leader in the political wing of the organization for years. Muslim, a former co-chair of the YPG, was wanted by Turkey with a red notice and was on the list of terrorists wanted by the state.
