Şamil Tayyar reveals the election date discussed at AKP Headquarters!

AKP Chairman and President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan's statement in Rize, "I believe it will successfully overcome the upcoming elections," has brought early election debates back to the agenda. Following the interpretation of Erdoğan's words as a signal for an early election, former AKP deputy Şamil Tayyar made a striking claim regarding the matter.

Recalling AKP Spokesperson Ömer Çelik's statement that an early election is not on the agenda, Tayyar said that there is no preparation or expectation in this direction within the party.

"THERE IS NO EARLY ELECTION ON THE AGENDA"

In his assessment of early election claims, Şamil Tayyar drew attention to Ömer Çelik's statements.

Tayyar used the expressions, "As our Party Spokesperson Ömer Çelik also stated, there is no early election on the agenda." The former deputy also stated that he has not heard of any preparation or expectation for an early election within AKP organizations.

APRIL 2028 POSSIBILITY FOR ELECTION DATE

Stating that there were previously assessments that an election could be held in October or November 2027, Tayyar expressed that the date of April 2028 has come to the fore in the recent period.

In his past statements, Tayyar had also argued that the possibility of an early election was low and had pointed to the April 2028 option.

The information Tayyar shared regarding the election date in his statements also drew attention. Sharing the prediction conveyed to him by someone from AKP Headquarters, Tayyar used the following expressions:

"A friend from headquarters even made a prediction, saying, 'The first round of the election will be on April 2, and the second round on April 16,' and said, 'write it down and keep it aside.'"

The entirety of Tayyar's post is as follows:

"There were those who interpreted our President's statement in Rize, 'I believe it will successfully overcome the upcoming elections,' as an 'early election signal.'

As our Party Spokesperson Ömer Çelik also stated, there is no early election on the agenda.

Frankly, I have not heard a whisper of an early election in any corner of the party.

At one point, the October/November 2027 possibility was being discussed, but for a while now, the April 2028 possibility has been accepted.

A friend from headquarters even made a prediction, saying, 'The first round of the election will be on April 2, and the second round on April 16,' and said, 'write it down and keep it aside.'

It is a high probability, but it has been a long time since I learned that one should not speak with certainty in politics.

At this stage, I have a suggestion. I have said it before, let me repeat it.

Ultimately, whenever the election is to be held, it is beneficial to make the election decision now under current conditions.

The decision for the April 18, 1999 election was made 9 months in advance.

It could be done now as well.

Parties would continue their preparations accordingly, the anxiety of a snap or early election would disappear, the stress of politics would decrease, polemics would end, and normalization would begin.
