Özkan Bozkurt, owner of the Sarı Mikrofon YouTube channel, arrested

In the video, moments during a street interview where an individual fires a rifle into the air and another young man looks at the camera and makes threats, saying, "I will take everyone's life," became a trending topic on social media.

The perpetrator of the incident, a juvenile identified as G.B. who resides in the neighborhood, was detained on the same day along with a rifle found during a search of his family's home.

On August 29, Özkan Bozkurt, the owner of the YouTube channel Sarı Mikrofon who conducted the street interview, was detained at his home in Istanbul under the instructions of the Çorlu Chief Public Prosecutor's Office. Bozkurt, who was handcuffed behind his back and filmed, was taken to Tekirdağ. Following his processing at the police station, Bozkurt was referred to the court by the prosecutor's office with a request for his arrest.

In his defense at the Çorlu 1st Criminal Judgeship of Peace on August 30, Bozkurt stated, "I do not know why I am here. I have no flight risk. I always come to give a statement when summoned." The court released Bozkurt with a judicial control measure requiring him to sign in at a police station twice a week, along with a travel ban.

SENT TO METRIS PRISON

According to a report by İsmail Arı from BirGün, Bozkurt, for whom a new detention warrant was issued under the instructions of the Çorlu Chief Public Prosecutor's Office, was detained in Istanbul late last night.

Bozkurt was arrested by the court he was brought before and sent to Metris Prison.
