Scandalous comment from a professor to a citizen who posted 'Atatürk is medicine': 'Will you say three doses of Atatürk a day?'
Prof. Dr. Abdulvahap Akıncı, a faculty member at Kocaeli University, made scandalous remarks directed at a citizen who hung a photograph of Atatürk in their pharmacy with the note 'the best medicine'.
Prof. Dr. Abdulvahap Akıncı, who serves in the Department of Political Science and Public Administration at the Faculty of Political Sciences of Kocaeli University (KOÜ), drew backlash for a comment he wrote under a post by a citizen who shared the message 'Atatürk is medicine'.
Responding with mocking and derogatory language to a pharmacist who hung a photograph of Atatürk on their wall with the note 'the best medicine' underneath, Akıncı openly insulted the founder of the Republic of Turkey. The post in question quickly drew widespread reaction.

According to the report by Cihat Polat from Kocaeligazetesi.com, in a post on his social media account on May 28, 2025, Akıncı said: "A man will come and ask for cancer medicine, and you will give a pinch of Atatürk; someone with diarrhea will come, will you say three doses of Atatürk a day?"
AKINCI'S COMMENT ON THE PHOTO WAS AS FOLLOWS:
"My girl, are you crazy? A man will come and ask for cancer medicine, and you will give a pinch of Atatürk; someone with diarrhea will come, will you say three doses of Atatürk a day? And will they take it on an empty or full stomach? Why did you open a pharmacy? If the medicine is Atatürk, they can look at his photo and statue. My girl, are you marketing Atatürk?"
While Akıncı's praise-filled words for Minister of National Education Yusuf Tekin and AKP Group Deputy Chairman Özlem Zengin drew attention, he also made posts about the CHP, Ekrem İmamoğlu, and Özgür Özel.

HARSH WORDS FOR THE CHP
Akıncı's other posts also drew attention. In his posts, Akıncı spoke with praise for Minister of National Education Yusuf Tekin and AKP Group Deputy Chairman Özlem Zengin, while his remarks about CHP's Ekrem İmamoğlu and Özgür Özel were notable. In one post, he wrote about Özgür Özel: "What a visionless and empty politician. We have not forgotten how the CHP opposed the opening of the Hagia Sophia Grand Mosque, which is the legacy of Fatih."
