Scandalous decision from the Ministry of National Education regarding girls: Document sent to schools

In Hatay, the Antakya District Directorate of National Education has issued a scandalous decision in a letter sent to schools under its jurisdiction, requesting that female students not be allowed to sit in the front seats of school buses.

According to a report by Halktv, the letter sent to schools affiliated with the District Directorate of National Education requested that female students not be seated in the front seats of buses.

The letter stated that students should be informed about the matter and that if it is determined that a female student is sitting in the front seat, drivers must be warned immediately.

In the document sent on 12.12.24, signed by Branch Manager Mehmet Öztürk, it was stated:

"It is required that students in your school be informed so that female students do not sit in the front seats of student buses, and that drivers be warned immediately if it is determined that a female student is sitting in the front seat. Regarding the necessity of showing the required sensitivity on this matter; I request your information and necessary action."
