The Agriculture, Forestry and Rural Affairs Commission convened on July 17 to discuss the "Draft Law on Amendments to the Animal Protection Law."

During the meeting, which was marked by a venue crisis, the request by CHP members to hold the discussion in a larger hall with the participation of all stakeholders was rejected by the AKP.

'THIS WILL BE THE FIRST LAW WE REPEAL'

According to the commission meeting minutes, CHP MP Ali Karaoba stated, “We will be in power soon, and this will be the first law we repeal. If you are still in this Parliament when we try to repeal this law, you will not object to a single word because you are acting based on the decision of the Palace from above.”

CONTROVERSIAL REMARKS

Interrupting Karaoba, AKP member Yıldırım said, "Are you going to get your votes from dogs?"

CHP MP Ali Gökçek reacted to Yıldırım, saying, "That is very shameful; what do you mean by 'Are you going to get your votes from dogs?'"
