School bus overturns in Hakkari! 13 students injured
A school bus carrying students in the Şemdinli district of Hakkari overturned after its brakes failed. 13 students were injured in the accident. The injured students are not in life-threatening condition, and an investigation into the incident has been launched.
According to the information received, the accident occurred in the morning hours in the Kaymakamlık Çeşmesi area of Altınsu village. The minibus with license plate 30 D 2044, driven by Sertip Dündar, which was transporting students from the Çevre Camp and Durak hamlet of Korgan village to the district center, lost control due to brake failure, struck a slope, and overturned. 13 students in the vehicle were injured in the accident. The injured students were transported to Şemdinli State Hospital by ambulances called to the scene and were taken under treatment.
The Directorate of National Education announced that the students are not in life-threatening condition and that their health checks and treatments are ongoing.
