Seagull rescue operation in Eminönü
Two animal lovers came to the rescue of a seagull spotted injured on the water in the Bosphorus.
In Istanbul's Eminönü district, a passenger waiting for the ferry to depart at the Eminönü - Bursa Sea Bus Pier captured these sensitive moments on their mobile phone.
The two animal lovers arrived by jet ski to retrieve the seagull after noticing it was unable to fly while in the water.
Wearing life jackets, the animal lovers ventured 15 meters out from the Eminönü pier, where dozens of ferries were operating, to reach the bird that could not take flight, bringing it aboard to take it for treatment.
It is believed that the seagull, which was able to flap its wings, may have been attacked by another animal.
