Search efforts to locate the 7 missing crew members of the dry cargo ship that sank off the coast of Ereğli, Zonguldak, continued on the 81st day by the maritime police, the General Directorate of Coastal Safety, the Coast Guard, and AFAD.
Search efforts continue for the 7 missing crew members of the Turkish-flagged cargo ship Kafkametler, which sank after hitting a military breakwater due to a storm on November 19, 2023, in the Karadeniz Ereğli district.
Maritime police teams are conducting searches along the coastline and around the military port using boats and binoculars with precision search operations.

SCANNING WITH UNDERWATER AND SURFACE RADARS
A state-of-the-art control boat allocated by the General Directorate of Security to the maritime police continued to scan the underwater and surface areas with radar.
Operations, which could not be carried out due to adverse weather conditions, resumed today. Dismantling operations are ongoing for the Cameroon-flagged cargo ship Pallada, which ran aground after splitting in two during the same storm.
