Seçil Erzan's remarks to her lawyer about 'Arda Turan'! 'With the last money I received...'

Former Denizbank branch manager Seçil Erzan remains at the center of the agenda regarding the fraud case in which she allegedly collected money from football players and businesspeople under the name of the 'Fatih Terim Fund' with the promise of high returns.

It has emerged that Seçil Erzan, who faces up to 226 years in prison and was sent to Bakırköy Women's Prison after being arrested on April 11, was visited shortly after by a lawyer she found upon the recommendation of her cellmates.

It was learned that Erzan spoke with her lawyer for more than an hour.

'SHE LOOKED TIRED AND CONFUSED'

According to a report by Hürriyet; the lawyer described what Erzan told him during that meeting and his own impressions as follows:

“She was still wearing the clothes she had on when she was arrested. Her shoes were stylish. She looked tired and confused. I can say she was in a state of shock. I have handled many fraud cases; I am experienced. I do not think this woman acted with the logic of a professional fraudster. Looking at what she described, she had entered a spiral and had made money for those around her.”

SHE SAID SHE WAS TRYING TO SAVE THE MOMENT

“I asked her why she continued this process, which was clearly going to hit a dead end. She told me, ‘I was no longer worried about where the process would end; I was just trying to save the moment. I had lost myself so much that I did everything I could to cover the deficit. That is why I continued to keep the wheel turning. Those I first took money from were also constantly pressuring me and taking money. Including my relatives. I tried to keep up with the payments. I didn't have much time or energy to make a plan. If I had a plan, I would have fled with the last money I received from Arda Turan, and no one would have been able to find me. I was always inside the spiral. All I had during this process were my clothes and my other daily luxuries. The only money I spent on myself was the 500 thousand dollars I spent on the house in Bozcaada. The rest was always inside the spiral'.”
