Second audio recording of Gökhan Zan emerges: 'You did wrong'

Following the Workers' Party of Turkey's (TİP) withdrawal of support, a second audio recording has emerged of Gökhan Zan, who claims he was blackmailed and set up with edited audio recordings.

TİP withdrew Gökhan Zan, whom they had nominated for the Hatay Metropolitan Municipality mayoralty, citing "various allegations regarding his involvement in relationships that the party would never approve of."

Following the withdrawal of his candidacy, a second audio recording of Zan has emerged.

"YOU SOLD ME OUT BEHIND MY BACK, YOU BETRAYED ME"

In the recordings obtained by Sözcü TV, Zan tells Turgay Kocakaya, "You did wrong by just leaving from here. You did me wrong. You didn't consult me when you were leaving from here either. You came to me to walk by my side. But you sold me out behind my back, you betrayed me."

Zan alleged that Kocakaya had spoken with Mehmet Güzel, an advisor to Lütfü Savaş. Kocakaya denied the allegations. Kocakaya told Zan that he had not told anyone anything about him.
