Second hearing to be held: All eyes in CHP turn to tomorrow's trial
The second hearing in the lawsuit filed to annul the Republican People's Party (CHP) 38th Ordinary Congress held on November 4-5, 2023, and to remove party bodies from office, will be held tomorrow.
The lawsuits filed in different courts by former Hatay Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Lütfü Savaş, who was expelled from the Republican People's Party (CHP), and delegates Yılmaz Özkanat, Hatip Karaaslan, and Kamile Bahar Önal, seeking the annulment of the 38th Ordinary Congress held on November 4-5, 2023, and the removal of the party's authorized boards from office, were consolidated at the Ankara 42nd Civil Court of First Instance.
The second hearing of this case will take place tomorrow.
In the first session held on April 17 regarding the case, the presiding judge had taken certain steps to obtain important information and documents.
In this context, it was requested that "a writ be written to the Çankaya District Election Board No. 4 to inquire about the attendance list and certificate of election regarding the 21st Extraordinary Congress and the decisions regarding the applications made to the Supreme Election Council, and that the latest status of the investigation regarding the congress be inquired from the Ankara Chief Public Prosecutor's Office."
