Second operation in bribery investigation targeting Beykoz Municipality: 6 people detained
Detention warrants were issued for 8 suspects in the second wave of the bribery and extortion investigation targeting Beykoz Municipality.
A second operation has been conducted as part of the "bribery" and "extortion" investigation carried out by the Beykoz Chief Public Prosecutor's Office into Beykoz Municipality. Detention warrants were issued for 8 suspects within the scope of the investigation regarding the term of former Beykoz Mayor Alaattin Köseler, who has been suspended from duty.
It was stated that new names were included in the investigation in line with the evidence in the file, complainant statements, and the testimonies of suspects who provided statements under effective remorse provisions. It was learned that the suspects include businesspeople, a member of the Beykoz Municipal Council, and municipal employees from that period.
In the operations, 6 suspects were apprehended and taken into custody. It was reported that efforts are ongoing to capture 2 suspects who are said to be at large.
