According to information shared by journalist İnan Demirel on his social media account,Barkınwasappointed to theposition at the beginning of November.

Demirel stated that Barkınsaidthis decision had no connection to Peker.

Journalist Demirel used the following expressions in his post:

“While discussing the layoffs at Sözcü TV before Yılmaz Özdil,I mentioned that Sedat Peker's lawyer, Ersan Barkın, was Sthat he had taken onthe role of lawyer for theSözcü group.

I called Mr. Ersan to ask, and he confirmed it.

He has been the group's lawyer since the beginning of November. Due to his closeness with Yılmaz Özdil,Sedat Peker naturally comes to mind.

Barkın stated that this has no connection toPeker.
