Seizure and sales ban decision for Ekrem İmamoğlu's book 'Millet Şahidimdir'
The Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office has ordered the seizure of printed and currently printing copies of Ekrem İmamoğlu's book titled "Millet Şahidimdir" (The Nation is My Witness), and has banned its distribution and sale.
Within the scope of an investigation conducted by the Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office, a decision was made to seize the printed and currently printing copies of the book titled "Millet Şahidimdir," authored by Ekrem İmamoğlu, and to ban its distribution and offering for sale.
With the decision of the Istanbul 4th Criminal Judgeship of Peace dated August 27, 2026, it was ruled that a seizure, distribution, and sales ban be applied to the entire book, which is published in Beyoğlu, in accordance with articles 3/2 and 25/2 of the Press Law No. 5187.
Instructions were given for the judgeship's decision to be served separately to the publishing house and printing house officials.
In this context, a copy of the judgeship's decision was provided to and served upon the official of the Kırmızı Kedi Publishing House.
