Semira, shot by her husband, loses 3-day battle for life
Semira A., who was shot in the neck by her husband 3 days ago in the Çayırova district of Kocaeli, has passed away at the hospital where she was receiving treatment.
The incident occurred on the evening of Sunday, October 13, on the first floor of a 3-story building on 205/1 Street in the Özgürlük neighborhood. A dispute broke out between T.A. (45) and his wife, Semira A. (37), for reasons yet unknown. As the argument escalated, T.A. shot Semira A. in the neck with a handgun. Neighbors who heard the commotion went to the apartment and found the woman lying on the floor covered in blood, while T.A. was holding a gun to his own head. The neighbors took the gun from T.A. and brought him downstairs to prevent him from harming himself. The injured woman was taken to Fatih State Hospital following initial intervention by medical teams. T.A. then got into his car and followed the ambulance to the hospital. T.A., who was apprehended and taken into custody by police teams in front of the hospital, was arrested by the court.
